Recommended and Tested Addons, Windirstat for Community Folder

Finding Community folder using Windirstat

The best to find the community folder where you want to install these files is by using windirstat.

Look for the largest files with the directory packages. The community folder will be next to the large official folder.

 

I tried to combine Xbox with Steam Program Files. Failed. They are not installed in the same way. 

 

Not sure about  packages and community folders. They should be able to share but I installed the Steam packages at a different folder compared to the Xbox version. I just install it in the packages folder. It should be at the Microsoft_Fligjht_Simulator_xxxxx\packages. The steam installer will not create a new Microsoft_Flight_Simulator folder, but we can change to anywhere we want.

I chose the appdata\local instead of the appdata\roaming which is the default Steam directory location for setup files. Xbox uses appdata\local.

The instructions to install the mods are written in the required pages but not clear. Not easy to find the community folder.

Use search to find "packages"

My Packages directory is actually in the Appdata/Local folders, not immediately after Appdata folder. This was the problem that I faced in finding the Community folder.

 Unfortunately it requires you to tell it where the Community folder is first also.

Another problem with it is that it does not work with .rar or uncompressed files.

Below is a picture of the FA-18 beside Mount Kinabalu. Just select it from the plane at the top left of the World Map menu screen. This plane is not found in the profile or marketplace.

For the scenery, i used Modmanfx so that I can easily uninstall these mods and and a record of these files.

Unfortunately, the scenery is only installed after I have exited FS2020. For the P51 racer, we need to copy all 4 folders into the Community folder.
